Organization Committee
The job of the Organization Committee is to oversee the organizational structure on the Main Street Oberlin program. The Committee works with the various Main Street members and committees to build consensus and cooperation.
Tasks of the Organization Committee include:
- Fundraising
- Recruiting Volunteers
- Managing human resources
- Promoting the program
- Managing and overseeing finances

Promotion Committee
The Promotion Committee is charged with promoting the image and goals of Main Street Oberlin Inc.
The Promotion Committee helps to foster the Main Street mission of downtown preservation by marketing the district's unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new businesses, and visitors. The Committee is responsible for an effective promotion strategy by maintaining public and media relations for the organization and it's events, as well as forging relationships with Oberlin's downtown vendors.
In particular, the Promotion Committee is responsible for planning and running Main Street's yearly events. Successful Oberlin events include the Festival of Trees, the Spring Egg Roll, and the summertime favorite Family Fun Fair.

Design Committee
The Design Committee's objective is to get Downtown Oberlin into top physical shape. Capitalizing on it's best assets - such as historic buildings and traditional downtown layout is just one important part of the committee's job.
The Design Committee also works to create an inviting atmospheredowntown by working with Oberlin businesses to create window displays to entice visitors and shoppers.
The Design Committee is also charged with maintaining Downtown Oberlin's street signs, street lights, and landscaping. Some of Main Street's most successful downtown beautification campaigns include the street-side spring banners and spring flower baskets which appear every year along Oberlin's Main Street and College Street.

Economic Restructuring Committee
The Economic Restructuring Committee works with Oberlin downtown businesses to maintain and expand downtown's economic stability. Members of the Economic Restructuring Committee require an understanding of Oberlin's economic conditions as well as possibilities for growth.
The Economic Restructuring Committee is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for market growth as well as developing incentives for businesses to locate in Downtown Oberlin
The Economic Restructuring Committee must comes up with creative ways to sharpen the competitiveness of downtown business enterprises.
